1. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of the CaulkTech website (caulktech.com.au) and the engagement of our services. By using this website or engaging CaulkTech to perform work, you agree to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

2. Services

CaulkTech provides professional caulking, joint sealing, fire-rated sealing, and related services for residential, commercial, and strata properties. All work is subject to a separate written quote and, where applicable, a project agreement. Information on this website is general in nature and does not constitute a binding offer, guarantee of availability, or professional advice.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided through the website or by email are estimates based on the information you supply. Final pricing may vary following a site inspection. All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise noted. CaulkTech is registered for GST (ABN 57 660 502 863).

4. Payment

Payment terms are specified in your quote or project agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 14 days of invoice. CaulkTech reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the rate prescribed by the Penalty Interest Rates Act 1983 (Vic) or as otherwise agreed.

5. Workmanship and Warranty

CaulkTech stands behind the quality of our work. Workmanship warranties are provided as standard on all completed projects. Warranty terms and duration are specified in your project agreement. Our warranties are in addition to, and do not exclude, restrict, or modify, any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

Warranties do not cover damage caused by third parties, structural movement beyond design limits, failure to follow maintenance guidance, or subsequent trades work that compromises our sealing.

6. Compliance

Where applicable, CaulkTech performs work in accordance with:

• AS 4072.1 — Components for the protection of openings in fire-resistant separating elements
• AS 1530.4 — Methods for fire tests on building materials, components, and structures
• The National Construction Code (NCC) / Building Code of Australia (BCA)
• Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) requirements where applicable

7. Cancellation

Either party may cancel a booking by providing reasonable written notice. Where materials have been purchased or work has commenced, CaulkTech may charge for costs incurred up to the date of cancellation. Consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this clause.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, design, and code — is the property of CaulkTech or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without written permission. Photos of completed work may be used by CaulkTech in marketing materials unless you advise otherwise.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaulkTech's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the cost of re-performing the defective work or, at our election, refunding the price paid for the affected portion of work. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

CaulkTech makes no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of information on this website. The website is provided “as is” and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on website content.

10. Disputes

If a dispute arises, the parties agree to first attempt resolution in good faith through direct negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved, either party may refer the matter to mediation through the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) or another agreed mediation service. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
